There's a new Star Wars tee-shirt at Target in the boys' section. It's long-sleeved in black, and the picture on the front is a good size. Vader looms over all, with Anakin and Obi-Wan doing the back-to-back pose, Yoda and Gen. Grievous on either side, and the Star Wars logo underneath. Alas, the picture is not the best transfer that I have seen, but it does claim to "glow in the dark"! This week, the tees are on sale, so you can save $2. ($8.99 down to $6.99.) The XL fits me fairly well. Target also has some Star Wars goodies in the Christmas section. There are Darth Vader, Boba Fett, and Stormtrooper cookie jars and large mugs. These are all a bit pricey, starting at $12.99.Back in the licensed product aisle, one can find a DV stocking, and a Yoda one. There are also some nutcrackers, snow-globes, and some larger table decorations. I was thrilled to find the R2 bearing presents ($14.99), along with some hanging ornaments. There are two round ones, one with Anakin and Obi-Wan fighting on one side, and Darth Vader and Ben on the other side, battling it out--all in red. The green ornament has Yoda and Chewie on it. There's also a small box of flat ornaments, with various characters. And the "talking" toys are back, Yoda, DV, and C3PO. These are advertised as something you can stick on your car's dashboard. Anyone else seen any SW merchandise for the holidays?
Table decorations? Cookie jars? My Target had none of these! Clearly I need to go to another store!!What are the table decorations like?
There's a description of the Boba Fett one in the reply below yours. The R2 one is simply R2 bearing presents and wearing a Santa hat. And there's a Christmas stocking as well, hanging from the boxes. Okay, I went and got the box. There are six of these. Yoda is in a Santa suit with a bag of toys over his shoulder. I saw this once. There might be some SW toys in the bag. :)C3PO has a Santa hat and is holding a wreath through one arm akimbo. He's standing on a small "snowy" pedestal.Darth Vader is building a snow model of the Death Star and wearing a Santa hat. He's also on a "snowy" platform. Last but not least, two Jawas on some rocks? One holds aloft a soccer ball, while the other is unwrapping what looks to be a hat box with R2 inside! :)And related to this, at Dragoncon this year, one of the 501st (maybe) had further decorated his armour. He wore a Santa hat, had some Christmas symbols on his armour (I think), or was he wearing a Santa suit (can't remember, but I took pics), and carried a sack of toys that included some SW toys! If you search places like photobucket or flikr for 2007 Dragon*Con pics, I'm sure you'll find him.
don't forget target's fabriche holiday boba fett... boba with a candy cane rifle, gift sack (full of blasters) on his rocket pack, and a han in carbonite with a "for jabba" tag.this goes along the darth vader making a snow deathstar, also available at target!i've got the santa fett, along with the candy jar and mug you mentioned.
I have now listed all the fabriche table toppers in a reply.
See my post here: http://community.livejournal.com/starwars/1656422.htmlThanks for the Boba Fett info. :)
Sweet! I need to go to Target this week!
Oooh, SW tee. I swear, the boy's section has the best graphic tees ever. I am a girl, and I am not afraid to admit that I have bought graphic tees from the men's section at Target. I have an SW tee with a blue lightsaber activated lying horizontally across. Underneath it says: "It's not the Jedi Way". Love it.
I usually buy the medium for myself and the XL for the boi when I see a new SW tee in the men's seciton at Target. :) So you aren't the only one. *beams*
